Sending money to an inmate is done through postal money orders. The inmates have a commissary account where they can withdraw money and buy items from the jail store.
Thanks to the US Postal Service, you can now send and receive mail from an inmate at the county jail. You are not allowed to use any metallic or plastic materials in the packaging. Note that all mail is checked for contraband by the staff, and if deemed inappropriate, it is returned to the sender.
