Jail Polices and Procedures:
The county jail follows a simple intake procedure for its inmates. The officers will capture your personal information as you answer basic questions put forwards. You will also be given an opportunity to contact a bail bondsman to arrange for release procedures. Family and friends can also bail you out on a cash only policy.
When sending mail, you will be required to indicate an inmate’s identification number clearly and also their full names. A policy is set aside for the jail staff to go through all mail sent and received for contraband issues.
Since the Brazos County Jail’s holding areas don’t have enough amenities for their inmates, a jail store is available for you to buy items. Money to be used is kept in bank account whereby people can deposit funds through money orders and checks.
All inmates held at the jail are required to provide a visitation list for easy processing. The list contains all expected visitors. Once at the jail, the officers will ask for some identification in the form of photographs before being cleared to visit an inmate.
