The League City Police Department is responsible for protecting life, property and individual liberty while improving the quality of life for the residents of League City. The police departments comprises of a number of bureaus which include: The Operations Bureau consisting of: the League City SWAT Team, Field Training Program, k-9 unit, and the patrol division. The Investigations Bureau which consists of Special Operations Division, Animal Control and the Criminal Investigations Division. The Administrative Bureau: Background Investigations, SWAT, Training, Accreditation and Recruiting.
