The department was initially evaluated in December 2009.
The Killeen City Jail in Killeen, Texas, like all jails is a maximum-security capacity. Because the prisoners in this jail range from low level criminals to those being held for vicious crimes like burglary, rape and murder, the confidence level is as high as is it is in any extreme security state prison. Some of the security structures in this facility include security cameras, electric detection and reinforced fencing capped with razor wire. Correctional officers in Killeen City Jail are equipped with mace and skilled to use physical force to defend themselves and other prisoners from violence.
