The Corpus Christi Police Department is responsible for maintaining law and order in Corpus Christi which has a population of 316,381 people. It is divided into three main units: Administration Bureau, Operations Bureau and Investigations Bureau. Each unit is further divided into various divisions. Specialized units include: Gang Unit, Narcotics/Vice, Organized Crime Unit, Robbery Homicide Unit, Special Investigations Unit, Theft Burglary Unit and Code Enforcement.
